Elderberry Syrup (Sambucus nigra)

Elderberry is commonly used to support the immune system. Some primary actions include antiviral and immune stimulating. 

This recipe contains other beneficial herbs such as rose hips, astragalus, ginger, cinnamon. 

You will learn preparation for creating the syrup through decoction method, recommended use, and benefits of each herb.  

Purple Cloud Ointment (Zi Yun Gao)

This formula originated in Ming dynasty China (1368-1644) and has been used since for a variety of skin conditions. The herbs in it promote healing of the flesh and nourishing of blood while at the same time resolving heat and dampness. 

The purple cloud ointment is very beneficial for many skin conditions such as burns, eczema, minor wounds, etc.

Each participant will go home with the recipes, informational handouts, and syrup/ointment sample.
